The easiest way to make them light up is to place them next to a plasma globe as offered on Amazon and novelty shops - just turn the globe on, the lights out and hold them up to the glass and watch in wonderment! The set of 8 comes with H, Ar, Ne, He, Kr, N, Xe and O.
