Product Overview
When we launched the 10mm gas cubes a few years back, the collector community lost its mind — in a good way. Sealed noble and reactive gases in a glass cube format, finally. But it didn't take long before the next wave of emails started rolling in: "These are amazing, but… can you make them in 1 inch?"
Fair enough.
The 25.4mm gas cube is the same wild idea as its little sibling, scaled up to match the format that matters most to serious collectors: the full 1-inch cube set. If you've been building out your element collection in the standard cubic inch format — and housing them in our 25.4mm display cases — you already know the problem. A gas ampule doesn't fit. A plastic box won't hold. And until now, a proper sealed glass cube in this size simply didn't exist.
It still involves the same borosilicate glass construction — off-the-shelf tubing shaped under heat into something that shouldn't work but somehow does. The walls are thicker now, which means even more structural confidence if one of these ever takes a tumble. The top still carries that characteristic nipple from the sealing process, and we're still not going to pretend otherwise — it's part of the charm, and frankly it's proof you're holding the real thing and not some theatrical prop.
The gas inside is filled using the same back-fill method as all our ampules: pure to 99.99%, sealed tight, and going absolutely nowhere. No glue, no plastic, no slow leak. Just glass.
And yes — they light up. Hook up a UV or high-voltage source and each cube glows in its own signature color, exactly the way the ampules do. Argon goes violet. Krypton goes white. Neon goes the neon you already know. It's still one of the most genuinely impressive party tricks in the hobby.
Each cube ships with an ID sticker on the base and fits flush into the standard 25.4mm display case...right alongside your metal cubes, exactly where it belongs.
