In this cube we feature cadmium at its absolute best. Since it is a minor metal in electronics there is a tiny amount that goes through the process of zone refining like silicon which is especially effective at removing impurities. This cadmium is one of those rare crystals reserved for that purpose but diverted instead into this ornament. At 99.99999% pure, "seven nines" is by far the highest grade available and, as a bonus, the slugs show clear signs of crystallization on the surface.
