Zinc is a metal that easily polishes but it’s also one that is rather environmentally fragile (oxidizes easily) and is also delicate to work with. This increases its difficulty in machining to this degree and is reflected in the price. On the other hand the incredibly smooth surfaces make it easy to appreciate its clearly bluegreen hue compared to other, grayer metals when side by side.

We suggest handling with gloves or at least quickly wiping down prints so as to avoid discoloration.
