Lutetium is the heavy slugger of the lanthanide series. Hard, rare and about as dense as lead, this obscure metal has very few commercial uses primarily due to the high cost of production.

We’ve taken our pricey Lu centimeter cubes and given them the royal treatment to bring out the shine like nobody’s business. And now it’s even costlier, true, but in the extremely unlikely event that someone within earshot were to brag about their piece of pure lutetium you would win the contest in a most dramatic way :-D
