Bromine gas 99.99%
Bromine gas 99.99%
Element collectors will be much more familiar with this dangerous substance in its liquid state when it takes a striking hue that appears redder than blood itself. But bromine is an element with an extremely high vapor point. Keeping it in its liquid state is a chore as it yearns to be a gas. Even in its gaseous state a bulb filled with it will look distinctly ruddy. However, turn down that pressure a bit and place it next to a sufficiently high current and the gas inside turns to ionized plasma and in this case glows a ghostly yellow.
You can do this effect yourself most easily by placing the ampule next to a plasma globe the sort that are sold on Amazon and novelty shops. The larger and more powerful the globe the easier it will be to get it to light up!
