There’s an essentially limitless supply of this industrial metal so no company with a straight face can promote it as “bullion”. Calling it bullion is one thing but that doesn’t mean that trade in antimony is a worthless endeavor. Hundreds of thousands of tons are mined each year and its various compounds tick off basically every major checkbox in the global economy for its almost countless uses; it plays a role in the making of everything from top secret military projects all the way down to diapers and everything in between.

Very rarely, if ever really, is the pure element isolated with the intent of making anything out of it. Being both brittle and soft, slivers of antimony like this bar could crumble under the pressure of your forefingers. Their being so delicate is the primary reason why it’s taken so long to add these to our lineup. For every pristine sample that makes it out of the mold whole many others are consigned to the scrap bin for another attempt. Our initial delivery from the lab, after many months of preparation, amounted to just six samples :’-(
