No matter how tight your seal, however ingenious the design of your lid, it’s a hopeless endeavor if you expect to keep this bad boy locked up in a bottle. The color of screaming demons, bromine is an element not to be trifled with. Both a burning liquid and a choking gas, the Germans in WWI would probably have used it against the Allies but that might have been a step too far so settled on the more humane choice of chlorine!

Ehhh… I’m getting carried away. As I was saying, wherever bromine pools it begins to create copious fumes that will seep out of any container with the tiniest of microscopic openings. And if it can’t find its way out it will certainly try to chew through the walls. It meets its match with glass which is a remarkably inert material and one which, thankfully, is crystal clear - the better to enjoy it from the other side.
