Calcium metal 99.99% 1g ampule

Calcium is not found in its elemental state in nature because it is extremely prone to oxidation as well as combining with most other elements. Even stored in mineral oil it will quickly tarnish to an ugly gray since some oxygen always manages to dissolve into the oil and find its way to the metal surface. The only way to appreciate its metallic luster is therefore to keep it under an inert gas like argon.

This makes for a wonderful collector specimen because you will instantly be reminded of popcorn. It is extremely light for its volume and while it rolls around freely within the confines of the ampule it has barely enough heft to make it clink audibly. You also get to appreciate its crystalline structure as these lab-made samples were grown rather than melted into molds. All in all this makes for the perfect sample to show off.
