Arsenic

$500.00

Toxicity gives this element its legendary notoriety but it also gives chemical engineers fits for a different reason: its propensity to oxidize even in the presence of tiny amounts of oxygen. Ridding the work environment of every last trace of this gas is the first step in the preparation of high purity arsenic. In these carefully controlled conditions delicate arsenic crystals form which can reach over an inch in length. And the thick walls of this well-sealed glass dome will ensure that the element stays pristine indefinitely.

We really bring on the ‘wow’ factor in this version 2.0 of the arsenic dome. While a multitude of crystals is nice, one big honking one is on a whole ‘nother level. These half hemispheres are sized a bit smaller than a tennis ball that provide a wall-to-wall experience in “The Arsenic Show”; their very otherworldliness could earn them a spot as an alien prop in a Sci Fi flick.

There is no finer specimen available. They look, truly, like something that belongs in a museum!
